Environmental statement for
GIVE & TAKE CO.

​At GIVE & TAKE CO., we are passionate about helping the environment by reducing waste. Our mission is to make a positive impact on our planet by promoting sustainability through the use of recyclable and reusable  alternatives. At this stage, we do this by initiating our cups in the coffee shops and restaurant industry.

We believe that small changes can make a big difference. By offering reusable coffee cups for coffee shops and restaurants to rent out to their customers, we are helping to reduce the amount of single-use plastic and paper cups that end up in landfills and sometimes recycling centres.

Every time someone chooses to reuse a cup, instead of using a disposable one, we are reducing waste and conserving natural resources. It's just not the waste of energy that goes into producing endless disposable cups, but also the waste that goes to our landfills and the additional energy it takes to the dispose of the cups.

​Our cups are made from 100% recyclable material. They are durable. We will continue to strive to improve our product, so appreciate feedback and pointers on how to do this (email info@giveandtake.online subject line 'RECOMMENDATION FOR YOUR PRODUCT'). Please note, we do live in an imperfect World, and we do need to weigh up benefits to costs; as keeping a profitable enterprise will allow our product to reach a larger amount of people. Please take this into consideration when making recommendations. Everything is a bit of a give-n-take and balance.

We encourage all associated parties to actively participate in reducing waste and promoting eco-friendly practices.

We aim to inspire people to think about their environmental impact and make better choices every day.

Together with our associated coffee shops and restaurants, we hope to create a cleaner, greener future for everyone and reduce the amount of single use items.

We see coffee shops and restaurants who subscribe to our services as a community wanting to do good. As such, we take every effort to promote them, and their eco-friendly viewpoint, as much as possible. I should point out that we do not control, or want to control, their business processes. 

​

We do thank you (the customer) for making the right choice to rent our items.

​

We do thank you (our coffee shop and restaurant subscribers) as it's hard running a business and they are making a conscience decision to support nature and our sustainable goal. This takes extra effort and intent on already a lot of effort and intent. Please appreciate them for that.

​To ensure sustainable practices it requires GIVE & TAKE from everyone. We are all imperfect, but together we can be imperfectly perfect and achieve improved sustainable practices. 

​

A point of note. A common question we get is why be a commercial business? Why not be a charity? A charity has a lot of dependencies - other peoples time, funding, etc. and to create consistent sustainability we believe a commercial business is better. In saying that, our overarching aim here is to promote sustainable practices and ultimately do good for the environment. As such, we class ourselves as a 'Social Enterprise' as we have loftier goals than making a quick buck!
